Degree Data
Degree trends for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD’s in the discipline as far back as 1930 are presented below. Degree trends by gender and race/ethnicity are also presented. These tabulations are largely based on Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System (IPEDS) Completions survey data collected by both the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Center for Education Statistics, available to the public via NSF’s Caspar data table tool.
