Sociology of Emotions Call for Awards Nominations
ASA's Sociology of Emotions Section’s Recent Contribution Award
Nominations are being sought for the most outstanding book published in the last three years that advances the sociology of emotions empirically, theoretically, and/or methodologically. The recipient must be a member of the Sociology of Emotions section. Send nominations to Lisa Walker (email@example.com) by February 15, 2014. Books must be sent to all members of the award committee (Lisa Walker, University of North Carolina – Charlotte; Alicia Cast, University of California – Santa Barbara; James Jasper, Graduate Center of the City University of New York).
ASA’s Sociology of Emotions Section’s Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award
Nominations are being sought for the most outstanding, article-length graduate student paper that contributes to the sociology of emotions empirically, theoretically, and/or methodologically. Authors of eligible papers must be graduate students at the time of the paper's submission. Multiple-authored papers are eligible for the award if all authors are graduate students. To submit a nomination, please send a PDF file of the paper to Pamela Hunt (firstname.lastname@example.org). Deadline for submissions is March 1, 2014.
