Summary

This graph compares research and development in colleges and universities for sociology, economics, and political science between 2005 and 2010. Expenditures were highest in sociology during this period and lowest for political science. Economics fell in the middle, although expenditures increased in 2008 before declining again in 2009 and 2010.
