Manage Verity collections

Use the Verity Collections page to create a collection or to populate, optimize, purge, or delete Verity collections that are connected to ColdFusion . Use the icons to the left of each collection in the Verity Collections table to manage collections.

Populate a collection:

  1. On the Verity Collections page, click the Index Collection icon for the collection to be populated.
    The Index Verity Collections page appears.

  2. Populate the collection, as described in Populate a Verity collection.

 

Note: Indexing is the same as populating a collection.

Optimize a collection

  1. Click the Optimize Collection icon for the collection to be optimized. A message prompts you to verify the process, which can occur over several minutes.

  2. Click OK to proceed, or click Cancel to stop the procedure and return to the page. When you optimize a collection, a confirmation statement appears at the upper edge of the page.

Purge a collection

  1. Click the Purge Collection icon for the collection to be purged. A verification message appears.

  2. Click OK to verify the purging of data, which cannot be undone, or click Cancel to stop the procedure and return to the page. When you purge a collection, a confirmation statement appears at the upper edge of the page.

Delete a Verity collection

  1. Click the Delete collection icon for the collection to be removed. A verification message appears.

  2. Click OK to verify the deletion, or click Cancel to stop the procedure and return to the page. When you delete a collection, a confirmation statement appears at the upper edge of the page.
