Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association provides the opportunity for professionals involved in the scientific study of society to share knowledge and new directions in research and practice. Nearly 600 program sessions are convened in August that provide a scholarly outlet for more than 3,000 research papers and over 4,500 presenters.

119th ASA Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting will be held August 9-13, 2024 in Montreal, Canada. ASA President Joya Misra has chosen the theme “Intersectional Solidarities: Building Communities of Hope, Justice, and Joy.”

2025 Virtual Mini-Conference

The ASA Virtual Mini-Conference (VMC), will be held January 30-31, 2025 and will share the theme of our August in-person meeting, “Reimagining the Future of Work.”

120th ASA Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting will be held August 8-12, 2025. President-elect Adia M. Harvey Wingfield has chosen the theme “Reimagining the Future of Work.”
