ASA is committed to working toward a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive discipline of sociology and provides several resources to members to support their efforts in this regard.
ASA collects and analyzes data about the discipline, including data that provide insight into demographic trends and other relevant patterns. ASA also offers a robust series of webinars to members, with many focused on DEI-related topics such as “Uprooting Racism: The Role of Sociology”, “Promoting Workload Equity for Black Faculty”, and “A Neurodivergent Inclusive Approach to Academic Policies and Practices”.
