Status Committees

There are four ASA Status Committees that advise and guide the association on the status in the discipline of those groups that have experienced a pattern of discrimination in society.  Historically, these committees have engaged in educational outreach efforts, conducted research on specific questions, and proposed policy changes and programmatic initiatives to the ASA Council.
